COLORADO SPRINGS, CO- Baylor School and Baylor Swim Club athlete Peter Lochmaier participated in the 2017 NCSA Select Camp, April 25-29 at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. Fifty two athletes were selected from the 2017 NCSA Spring Junior National Championships that were held in March. Lochmaier finished fifth overall in the 200 yard butterfly, and took 12th in the 400 IM.

The five day camp camp included mandatory study hall sessions, in water training sessions, video analysis, anti-doping presentation, tour of the Olympic Training Center, nutritional presentation, hiking the Manitou Incline, and presentations from National Team coaches.

"While staying at the OTC, I loved the over all inspiration the the training centers and athletes provided. Everyone was there to get stronger, faster, better, and those feelings made me want to get better too. It was overall a very inspiring experience. In addition to the people, just the cleanliness and sleekness of the modern facilities made me want to train even harder. From the experience I was able to learn not only about how to swim faster, but also how Olympians train on a day to day basis," said Peter Lochmaier.
