COLORADO SPRINGS, CO- On Thursday, September 7th, Baylor Swim Club / Baylor School athlete Trey Freeman was named to the 2017-2018 National Junior Team. Sixty-seven 18 & Under athletes were named to the team by USA Swimming. Freeman earned his space on the team with his top five performance in the 100, 200, 400, and 800 meter freestyle events. This is the second year in a row that Freeman has been named to the National Junior Team. As part of the USA FINA World Junior team, Freeman claimed the bronze medal in the 400 meter freestyle at the end of August. National Junior Team members must be age 18 or under on Sept. 1, 2017. Head Coach Dan Flack was also recognized as a coach member of the National Junior Team due to Freeman's performances over the last year.
Trey Freeman joins former Baylor Swim Club / Baylor School athletes Arden Pitman (2011), Sam McHugh (2014), Kristen Vredeveld (2013), & Spencer Rowe (2011) as members who have earned this prestigious honor!
