MAUI, HI- On Friday evening finals at the 2016 Junior Pan Pacific Championships Baylor School / Baylor Swim Club athlete Trey Freeman claimed the silver medal in the 400 meter freestyle. His time of 3:54.12 in the event is also a new personal best time. Team USA put two on the podium in the 400 free with Andrew Abruzzo taking the gold medal in 3:53.39. Jacob Vincent from Australia was just two one hundredths behind Freeman for bronze. This is Freeman's second medal of the competition, as he earned a silver medal as part of Team USA's 4x200 freestyle relay on Thursday.
Freeman's Baylor School roommate, Gershwin Greene was also in action last night as he was part of Team Bahamas 4x100 meter free relay. The Bahamas finished seventh overall in the event.
Both Freeman and Greene will be in action again on Saturday which is the the final day of the Junior Pan Pacific Championships. Trey Freeman will compete in the 800 meter free, while Greene will sprint in the 50 meter free. Preliminaries will begin at approx. 3:00 PM and finals will start at around 11 PM.
