Coach Flack to Lead USA Men's National Junior Team at Jr Pan Pacs

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO- On Thursday, November 9th USA Swimming announced that Baylor School / Baylor Swim Club Head Coach Dan Flack will lead the USA Men's National Junior Team at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships Aug. 23-27 in Fiji. Coach Flack has served on a number of National Junior Team staffs, and most recently this summer as an assistant coach on the FINA World Junior Team. He also served as an assistant on the 2011 FINA World Junior Team staff as well. Flack has placed five Baylor athletes on the USA Swimming National Junior Team over the last several years which include: Arden Pitman, Spencer Rowe, Kristen Vredeveld, Sam McHugh, and Trey Freeman. Trey Freeman was on the 2017 FINA World Junior Team, while Kristen Vredeveld made the team back in 2011.

“Dan is ready and able to take on the role of head coach,” Director of the National Junior Team Mitch Dalton added. “Besides his outstanding work with Trey Freeman over the last few seasons, his name has been a staple on the National Junior Team coaches roster for the better part of a decade.”

While the Head Coach at the Baylor School, his teams have produced six girls, eight boys, and twelve combined TISCA State Championships. His team's have also claimed three girls and two boys High School National Championships.

Alison Beebe of Santa Clara Swim Club will lead the Women's USA National Junior Team in Fiji. Beebe is known for coaching Olympic Gold medallist Simone Manuel as an age grouper with First Colony Swim Team.
